“Morning Star”

“One night (on a camping trip in New Mexico), in the middle of the night, the horses began to whinny, and after a few minutes, they became very restless, pacing and snorting in fear…Approximately fifty yards below the campsite, a bear was calling in the characteristic woof sound that is both thrilling and terrifying…We built up the fire and listened to him complain as he made his way up the river.

October air in the Southwest is pristine, and before daybreak, the stars are so bright can almost see without a flashlight. We got our inspiration for Morning Star from that experience.”
