“Hand of Man”
by: Gene & Rebecca Tobey$500,000.00
“Hand of Man is the largest bear Gene and I ever sculpted, and as such, we wanted to involve the surface as much as possible in the story. The sculpture is a triumph of expression. The bear sculpture has a mask on his face. Across his chest are deer and deer dancers. Hands, representing the role of man, horses and riders cascade across the lower part of the bear’s back. Ghosts and amorphous humans are on his shoulders.”
