“Friends in a Storm II”
by: Gene & Rebecca Tobey$28,000.00
“Friends in a Storm and Partners came from an experience Gene had while riding his horse Hot Shot on the plains outside of Casper, Wyoming. A sudden rainstorm came up, and since there are no trees there, Gene threw his jacket over his saddle to keep it dry, and climbed down under the horse. Hot Shot was one of those rare horses that will allow a person to crouch beneath him, and his only reaction was one of looking down at Gene, as if he was saying ‘Hey, you’re supposed to be on top, not me!’
Across the horse’s back is a highly polished eagle with wings spread down the horse’s sides. The drawings are of horses and riders, hunters, wolves and buffalos.”
