“Face of the Sun”
by: Gene & Rebecca Tobey$4,100.00
“After our trip to Alaska in 2004, we became avid raptor watchers, looking for eagles and hawks wherever we traveled…All of our observations of flight and wing positions played a part in the depiction of eagles. Face of the Sun and Vortex are eagles in flight, turning in the air. Wavy lines drawn on the wings represent air currents. There are masked figures and several masks, reminiscent of Northwest Coast Indian art. There is also a circle of life, which represents the continuity of all living things.”
