“Sounds of the Pond”
by: David Soderberg$5,880.00
David Soderberg’s sculpture “Sounds of the Pond” is part of a series that explores the unique merging of equine and human forms. “Sounds of the Pond” features the image of a young woman enjoying an afternoon swim alongside her favorite horse. The two drift in the waters of the pond, their heads lifted, as they listen to the sounds of the pond.
To empower this sculpture with character, life, and vibrancy, David Soderberg works to create the illusion that there is no support, mount, or base. “The goal is to create art that jumps out at you with a life of its own, to see beyond the commonplace to something wonderful….”
This sculpture is available in your choice of patinas: the southwest style patina (features turquoise dress and chestnut coloring on the horse), or the “burgundy” style patina (features burgundy dress and dark coloring on the horse).
“Sounds of the Pond” is available to order with a Satin Finish on the surface, suitable for outdoor or indoor placement. This does not affect the color of the patinas.
