“New Day Dawning”

“‘Red sky at night sailors delight, Red sky at morn sailors be warned.’ As a new day dawns, ominous grey clouds rumble over head. A band of crimson colors the horizon. I search for peace and solace at the edge of the sea. There is none, I turn to go. Suddenly, the sun pierces the clouds. Cascading light glitters upon the grey Cook Inlet water. A sign? I am filled with hope. Dancing in celebration the women steps from the night (the moon) into the promise of a new day (the sun).”
